Go to firecrawl.dev and sign up for an account. There is a free tier available. Choose a plan based on how many scans you plan to run — each search query uses API credits.
After logging in, go to your dashboard and find the API Keys section. Create a new key and copy it. Your key starts with fc-. Keep it private — treat it like a password. Do not share it with anyone.
Click API Settings in the top bar or click the API status area in the sidebar. Paste your Firecrawl API key. Your key is stored locally in your browser only — it is never sent to IndustryHub servers.
Before running your first scan, go to the Build Takedown Notice section and fill in your legal name, email, and content descriptions. This creates a reusable template so you can quickly build notices after each scan.
Go to Scan for Infringement. Enter your creator handle, unique content identifiers, and exclude your own platforms. Hit scan. Results will appear ranked by match confidence. Review each one before taking action.
For each confirmed infringement, generate a notice from your template, then send it manually to the platform's DMCA contact (see the "Where to Send" tab). Log every notice in the Tracker and update status as platforms respond.
If someone reposts, mirrors, re-uploads, or shares your original content (photos, videos, audio) without your permission, that is copyright infringement. This includes screenshots, clips, and edited versions that are clearly derived from your work.
A valid notice must include: your identity and contact info, a description of your original copyrighted work, the exact URL(s) of the infringing content, a good faith statement, a statement of accuracy, and your signature (typed is fine). Missing elements can invalidate your notice.
The platform's designated DMCA agent reviews your notice. If valid, they must remove or disable access to the content promptly. The uploader may file a counter-notice. If they do, you have 10-14 business days to file suit before the platform restores the content.
You own copyright in your original work the moment you create it — no registration needed to file a DMCA notice. However, registering with the U.S. Copyright Office gives you the right to sue for statutory damages, which is a significant legal advantage.

Wait the standard response window (typically 10–14 business days). If no response, send a follow-up citing your original notice date. If still ignored, you may have grounds to pursue legal action. Document everything.
You'll be notified by the platform. You then have 10–14 business days to notify the platform that you have filed or intend to file a lawsuit. If you don't, the content may be restored. Consult an attorney if this happens.
You can hire an attorney or service to send on your behalf, keeping your personal info private. Anonymous notices on your own are generally not accepted — a valid notice requires your identity. Consider using a PO Box or attorney address.
DMCA is a U.S. law but most global platforms comply because they have U.S. users or servers. For platforms in the EU, you can also reference the E-Commerce Directive or DSA. For other countries, local IP laws may apply — a local attorney can advise.
It depends on your Firecrawl plan and how actively your content is pirated. Most creators run weekly scans. Set up a recurring reminder. The more specific your search terms, the fewer credits you'll use and the more accurate your results will be.
